POLICY

Public policy plays an important role in enabling communities to transform their response to youth homelessness. Youth homelessness is a non-partisan issue with champions emerging from all political parties and across many governmental ministries and departments.

POLICY AGENDA

Our policy agenda is built on solid research and is advanced through what we call “solutions-focused” advocacy. We support policy shifts that enable communities to take local action to prevent and end youth homelessness. We believe that in order to address the youth homelessness problem, the effort needs to come from various sectors, including:

  • Child protection
  • Training
  • Justice & corrections
  • Income supports
  • Mental health
  • Health
  • Education
  • Housing
